Rebel colors

Urban wear designer Jeffrey Rogador's creations is in the spotlight once more with Ballet Manila's restaging of Rebel. It opened the 21st season on August 19 with remaining performances from Aug. 27 to 28..

Known for his hip street wear collections, Rogador accepted the challenge to make dance clothes for this modern reboot of Spartacus which premiered last February. British choreographer Martin Lawrence's Rebel transplants the story to Manila, set against the backdrop of the EDSA People Power Revolution and using characters inspired by real-life personalities from that historic period.

Accordingly, Rogador used a palette that gives a distinct look and tone to the costumes worn not just by the lead dancers but by the supporting cast. Here's a rundown of his Rebel collection.
