A member of the company since 2005, Ballet Manila soloist Alfren Salgado brought home the silver medal in the Pas de Deux Division of the 2013 Asian Grand Prix. Prior to that, he was a finalist in the 2008 and 2010 National Music Competitions for Young Artists dance category. He has taken on lead roles such as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Basilio in Don Quixote, Prince Charming in Lisa Macuja-Elizalde's Cinderella and Ferdinand Marcos in Martin Lawrance's Rebel. He has also performed in the various classical contemporary productions including MAZN, Reconfigured, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadere among many others.
