Transforming lives begins with a gift of hope
Project Ballet Futures is a community scholarship program that provides free ballet training and performance opportunities to gifted but underprivileged young students.
Launched in 2008 by Philippine prima ballerina and Ballet Manila artistic director Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Project Ballet Futures makes ballet education accessible to boys and girls who otherwise would not be able to afford it. The program covers the cost of intensive ballet classes and appropriate ballet gear, as well as meals, milk, nutritional supplements, and transportation.
Scholars undergo training at The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet Manila, the company’s educational arm and the only ballet school in the Philippines with direct links to the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The scholarship program is unique as it not only aims to develop, nurture, and produce highly skilled dancers but also prepares them to pursue a career as professional artists.
Be our partner in Project Ballet Futures!
Contributions of any amount are welcome and will be added to the Project Ballet Futures scholarship fund to be used for such expenses as:
• Ballet training
• Ballet attire
• Summer intensive workshop
• Summer intensive recital (Just Dance!)
• PBF annual recital (Must Dance!)
• Meal allowance
• Milk
• Multivitamins
• Transportation allowance
Donors may also choose to adopt a scholar. A generous donation of P100,000 – which can be given through our flexible quarterly (P25,000), semi-annual (P50,000) or annual payment options – guarantees a scholar full benefits for one year.
We will provide benefactors with regular updates on sponsored scholars. Donors will receive complimentary tickets to Ballet Manila’s season performances and the school’s Just Dance! and Must Dance! recitals, and will be acknowledged in the shows’ souvenir programs.
Please make your checks payable to Ballet Manila Foundation, Inc.-Project Ballet Futures.
With your whole-hearted support, we can give more deserving children a chance to become tomorrow’s finest dancers!
