The year 2025 is looking good for Project Ballet Futures (PBF) scholar Angelou Gamayon.
Ballet Manila apprentice Shamira Drapete won the gold while Ballet Manila scholar Angelou Gamayon scored the silver in the Senior division of the Asian Grand Prix (AGP) Manila Regionals held over the weekend at Aliw Theater.
Even in retirement, The Nutcracker has remained an indelible part of Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s life. Moreso this year when it has turned out to be a special Nutcracker season for Ballet Manila and the Lisa Macuja School of Ballet, comprised of performances in Taoyuan in Taiwan, and in Manila and in Baguio in the Philippines.
Dancers representing the Lisa Macuja School of Ballet (LMSB) – among them scholars, apprentices and company artists of Ballet Manila – have been named finalists in the Asian Grand Prix International Ballet Competition (AGP) to be held in December in Bangkok, Thailand.
The four boys represented The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet, the educational arm of Ballet Manila.
