G-nie Arambulo captures Snow White

G-nie Arambulo captures Snow White

Top advertising photographer G-nie Arambulo took time out from her busy schedule to pursue her other passion: ballet. Not on stage, however, but still behind the camera to photograph prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde who is wearing the choreographer's hat for Ballet Manila's latest offering: Snow White

Joining Lisa were the three couples alternating as Snow White and the Prince: principal dancer Katherine Barkman and guest artist Joseph Phillips, soloists Joan Emery Sia and Elpidio Magat, and soloist Romeo Peralta and guest artist Heewon Cho.

Assisting G-nie was Ballet Manila's ballet master, Jonathan Janolo, who served as movement choreographer for the shoot.

G-nie has collaborated with Ballet Manila on two previous occasions, capturing the drama of movement and the fine lines of the dancers. This time, she allowed cameras to capture the action behind her camera, giving ballet enthusiasts a rare look into the magic of her photography.

Lisa Macuja-Elizalde's Snow White opens on November 25, 6 p.m. at the Aliw Theater. Succeeding shows are on November 26 at 3 p.m., December 2 at 6 p.m. and December 3 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at www.ticketworld.com.ph
