Circus D’Ballet at Star City

Circus D’Ballet at Star City

Circus D’Ballet – an entertaining showcase combining colorful circus acts and lively ballet numbers – is back at Star City.

Star City and Ballet Manila present the free show to the amusement park’s visitors every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7 p.m., at the Star City Activity Center.

For the show’s Ballet Pinoy segment, Ballet Manila dancers perform three numbers: Magandang Gabi, an updated version of a Tony Fabella original; El Sol, choreographed by Ernest Mandap; and Sumayaw Sumunod, by Osias Barroso and Gerardo Francisco.

The circus acts, meanwhile, consist of acrobats, contortionist/jugglers, mimes and a tightrope walker.

Circus D’Ballet is directed by Ballet Manila co-artistic director Osias Barroso.

The unique series mixing ballet and circus was an instant hit when it presented Joy! in 2015 as a Christmas offering to Star City visitors. Last December, Circus D’Ballet featured Kutitap, the story of an angel that comes down to earth.

Star City is located at the CCP Complex, Pasay City.
