What: Pas de Trois

The phrase “pas de trois” in classical ballet translates to “Dance for three” and it is usually performed by two female dancers and a male dancer. A pas de trois usually consists of five parts. The order beginning with an Entrada (an introduction to the three dancers usually also involving partnering), Variations (solos) of each dancer and then a Coda (finale).
