Step: Temps de l’ange

How: A temps de l’ange is an “Angel’s step”. The fundamentals of this step is a soubresaut (joining of the feet in fifth in the air). However, in a temps de l’ange, instead of finishing in the initial straight position in the air like a soubresaut, the dancer continues and arcs the body into a curve while both legs finish in attitude with the knees slightly open in the air, before landing in fifth again.

Ballet: The ballet known for this particular step is Giselle. She performs this in Act 2 during the main pas de deux.

Dancer: Rissa May Camaclang, Soloist

Location: Ballet Manila Studio 2
