Ballet Manila’s Greatest Hits comes to Malaysia
True to its core belief in bringing ballet to the people and people to the ballet, Ballet Manila is bringing some of its best choreographies to Petaling Jaya, Malaysia for a special performance this weekend.
The company will take the stage in a show billed as Ballet Manila’s Greatest Hits on September 6 to 8 for four shows that will highlight its excellence in classical and contemporary dance. At the forefront is BM artistic director, prima ballerina Lisa Macuja Elizalde, who has promised to deliver to the Malaysian audience an explosive show.
On the repertoire are Macuja Elizalde’s La Traviata, National Artist for Dance Agnes Locsin’s Sayao sa Pamlang and Arachnida, Augustus Damian III’s Sotto Voce and Reconfigured, Tony Fabella’s Dancing to Verdi, and Alexander Gorsky’s Don Quixote Grand Pas de Deux.
Presented by DanceLink Performing Arts, Ballet Manila’s Greatest Hits will be held at the Stage 1 Theatre of the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre in Selangor on September 6, 8:30 p.m.; September 7, 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; and September 8, 3 p.m.
