Ballet Manila opens its 21st season, hailed as The Revenge of the Classics, with the return of Martin Lawrance's Rebel on Aug. 19 at Aliw Theater. Rebel retells the epic Spartacus through the prism of the historic EDSA People Power Revolution.

Principal dancer Dawna Mangahas recalls her history lessons in bringing to life the iconic character of the EDSA People Power Revolution: Corazon Aquino.
