Step: En Face

How: The classical ballet term “En Face” describes the direction that the dancer is facing. En Face means the dancer is facing the audience. Both hips and shoulders are square to the audience. Here, the dancer is in tendu à la seconde en face: Working leg extended to the side on the floor, with the direction of her body facing the front (audience).
